I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Colm's passing. Colm was a true Railway man through and through but he was also a very active trade unionist. He was a shop steward for Unite the Union for many years, representing his colleagues at local and national level, including at conference in Brighton.
I remember fondly his enthusiasm and passion for the invest in the west campaign, of which he was a driving force. He gave his time freely and was often the cool head in the room when everyone else was losing theirs. RIP Colm, gone too soon but never forgotten.
