Claire will be missed terribly by so many of us in the Middlesex community.
I feel privileged to have known and campaigned with her over many issues over a number of years when I was on the UCU committee and we worked with our partner union, UNISON when she was Branch Secretary.
The light she shone and improvements to the lives of so many workers here are immeasurable. I always remember the countless times I’d knock on the UNISON office door to ask Claire a “quick question”, and we’d end up chatting for an hour, mainly about how to make the world a better place.

Claire you have been taken from our lives too soon and this is nothing but a tragedy and something we are still trying to process... and you fought to the end with such courage. Over 10 years on Branch Commitlee and we have some great memories especially when we had the stall out a few times over the years ....and the memories we and others all shared together becomes a treasure that will always stay with us....... you are still alive in our thoughts, always remembered never fogotten.... rest easy.. .hugs & Kisses.xxxx Kevin Ward
