Caroll, you are the stuff of stories. You are the stories. And Blimey o' Riley, such stories!
You are fierce, direct, head-strong, straightforward, caring and unbelievably kind. I remember vividly our long chat with a guy outside our office who'd ended up in a dreadful situation and was so upset - crying, you went straight to the cashpoint and took out a tenner for him and then we all bawled some more. You are also one of the most customer-focused people I've ever met - a glint would appear in your eye every time we had a new challenge and off you would go, in your element, never failing to deliver (not delivering is NOT an option in Caroll's book of life rules). You care deeply about things that are important to you and could not care less about those that aren't - as a former manager that was a constant challenge for me, we had to prevent you being bored at all costs! Fortunately there are plenty of those (challenges) at FareShare - we would not have gotten through this year as well as we did without you. You helped us all adapt to remote working, getting our kit sorted at break-neck speed so that we could work properly from home, and then you made our offices safe and secure for our return. And all done with a big massive smile - you genuinely loved this role and it showed.
We had lots of chats about Tia - I know how proud you are of her, and you were determined she should have the best opportunity in life that you and Chris could give. You've done her proud, Caroll.
I miss you already my lovely. Helen xxx
