I have known Carl for around 25 years and was proud to call him friend during that time. We worked together both at Brampton and Wyton and have shared many a drink outside of work and kept in touch during the wilderness years, or Abbeywood as others call it. I will miss him and having been there for a large portion of my work years I’m deeply saddened that he won’t get to retire and be there during my retirement years. Everyone who knew him in work, liked him, relied on him, and will miss his quiet humour, calming influence and experience. Knowing him outside of work was a privilege and I will miss him.
