“Don’t worry Shilpi, I will talk to them and figure it out”, that was good ol’ Brij once again stepping in trying to smoothen out the chinks. The ever smiling, good natured, soft hearted Brij who only had good of everyone in his heart. He always tried to walk the tightrope between the professional and personal for his colleagues turned friends. A puritan at heart when it came to his art- agile project management and would fight with anyone who tried to mess with it. Loved creating reports and dashboards to help management make decisions.
Brij would in his own way make his point when meeting with seniors without ruffling feathers. He liked and was always very open to share his expertise with his colleagues turned friends. Always ready to learn and started the knowledge sharing session in the team and was the most enthusiastic participant coming up with most questions, taking a genuine interest in everything. Most of all Brij liked to talk about his family, his daughters who he dotted on and his wife who he respected and loved. A man of action, who at the start of pandemic got a separate section built to make work from home comfortable for himself and his family.
The most memorable thing about Brij was his readiness to take up any challenge to make thing right with his personal touch. Most importantly he was a team player. Lucky are the girls who he dotted on. I am sure he will always look on protecting his family who he loved more than himself. Brij often prefaced his sentences with ‘ let me finish…’ , ‘No Brij, we did not want you to finish it, we wanted you to go on but I think this was not something you could smoothen over, next time Brij, next time… ‘
Last message from Brij received by me...quoted here as it is....
"Yes Shilpi definitely inform if any help...
Admitted in hospital they have started treatment hope will be recovering soon...I am position and I know blessings of friend, families and God grace with me....
Thank you Shilpi"
