Just thinking about Bri, I don't have a night when I don't think of our chats we had through the shifts. I really do miss them, we did have some laughs in work. I keep saying things that we shared between ourselves and I smile, Mia still says 'I miss Brian's jokes' so I tell her one of your bad jokes and she laughs. The night shift will never be the same without you BFG. God Bless. We miss you loads
Where to begin, Big Bri we literally created hundreds of memories in the many years we knew one another, some i still talk about even now to people, you will clearly go down in history even to those that have never met you. I like that this page is here so your friends and family can see what an impact you had on others. Trust me you had an impact ha. Right one of my all time favourite memories of you was when we went to the gym, i showed you around the main area and then went off to do some free weights, i recall looking over at you in the mirror and seeing you go towards the sqaut rack machine, you lowered the machine down and done maybe 2 - 3 reps before attempting to lock the machine in place so you could get out, only issue was you could no longer lower yourself down to the point of the mechanism to latch on so you were stuck with this weight on your shoulders, next i just saw you spin round on the machine in a feat worthy of a superhero and face-plant the back rest as you fumbled around for the lever to lock it. After atleast 5 minutes of struggling you managed it and then looked around as to check that no one saw your battle with the machine. You were happy that no one had until a week later when we were in work and out of nowhere i done the impression of you in front of everyone and you then realised i had been saving it ha. The time you thought you were hallucinating when Allan, Eliot and myself walked out of work after pretending to have an argument with customers. You went the toilet and in a state of shock tried to figure out what you had to do now your team had left only to return to all of us sat back in our seats and getting on with work like nothing had happened. I still remember your face wondering what had gone on, you said you thought you were dreaming and then i recall you taking your bloods for your diabetes incase you were hallucinating. It was only then i caved and burst out laughing. Bri the memories are endless, scaring you when you had a bowl of Cheddies (Cheerios and shreddies, if you dont know that then brian would like to know what is your problem) and you jumped that high they went all over you. Knocking the seat down on you while facing away from you and you wondered who was doing it so you looked under the desk. Needless to say practical jokes were our thing. You did get your own back many a time. "Shit still flows at Christmas" "Chris" "Thats what she said" quotes that even now have me in tears laughing. I have many more memories of you and i will always hold them dear, you were an amazing friend and i miss you, thank you for everything, for making me laugh, for making me nearly throttle you every night we worked together then pull that puppy dog face followed by a tongue pull ha. All the breakfasts we went on after our last shift... think we kept that place in business. Thank you Brian and i will see you one day for a cuppa and a brekkie. Love you mate
Can’t believe you’re gone Brian. My favourite voice to mimic when answering the phone. You could hear your call opening echo from the other side of the centre with your brummie accent. You were a friendly giant that meant a lot to your team and you were always there for them. You made me laugh with your stories and jokes and we would always love putting the world to rights whenever I popped in or did overtime. You helped me get through the night shift! I hope they’ve got a nice comfy set-up up there for you Bri, time to put your feet up and enjoy your time off x
