Ben will always be remembered by those who worked with him as a keen scientist with excellent theoretical knowledge and practical application; having Ben around made everyone's life easier. Ben was incredibly enthusiastic and would always volunteer his services (much to the annoyance of his line managers!)
But most of all we will remember Ben for his incredibly positive outlook on life, his constant willingness to look on bright side; the care and attention he gave to his work and to his colleagues, many of whom thought of Ben as a close friend. We will miss his tenacity and his smile on a morning, even on a gloomy day on Teesside.
Ben leaves a hole in the heart of the JM family.
