It's hard reading some of the things that have been said about my daughter but I'm so very grateful to everyone who has provided a glimpse of, deep down, who Rebecca really was. I named her Rebecca as her mum was in hospital when I registered her birth and to me that's who she'll always be even though she hated it when I used her full name. The smiling, fun loving and caring little girl whom I remember posing in her new school uniform when starting her school life at Davenport Lodge is the real Rebecca and that memory will never fade. She loved her brother and the bond the two of them had was special. When he managed to lose us all on a beach in the South of France when he was a small toddler, his big sister was beside herself with worry and was inconsolable until he was finally found. That big sister turned into a mum and despite whatever else was going on in her life, Bella was her World. As unbelievably proud as I am of my granddaughter, the pride my daughter felt for the child and now teenager whom Bella has become, knew no bounds. There is much more I'd love to add, all of which my daughter would laugh out loud to think her old dad would say such things about her, but I'll stop and treasure the memories and just add that my daughter really, really treasured the true friends she had from school, university and work. To Rebecca her friends meant everything to her. To those of you who want to come to the funeral to pay your respects and know of others who may want to come as well, please contact my son.
