I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of our dear colleague, Ayaz. I had a brief time knowing Ayaz since my joining UNICEF Kenya office in mid-January this year. He came across as a remarkable and compassionate soul who left a lasting impact on all those who had the privilege of knowing him. My colleagues in UNICEF talk very highly of him.
His resilience in the face of medical conditions was truly inspiring, and he never allowed his health issues to hinder his commitment to work and the people around him and always ready to guide and support anyone in need.
May the cherished memories that Ayaz’s families, colleagues & friends shared with him bring comfort and strength as you cope with this loss. His legacy of kindness and professionalism will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.
With heartfelt condolences.
