I first became friends with Astor when I noticed his TUI Pilot bears on his desk. We bonded over our mutual appreciation of all things cute and I later brought him a TUI bear from our Lapland destination which joined the happy array on his desk, making me smile every day. We would share memes of Paddington bear and other fun things over social media. Later I trained Astor on a system, he was smart and quick to learn, he excelled in all systems offend teaching himself. I was pleased to see him join a project I was also working on to create a fun experience for our colleagues. In person we would take about deeper subjects, often over some Lunch I'm so happy to have these memories. Like everyone I was shocked to hear of his passing and looked through all our past conversations, the last thing he wrote to me was "for me home is where TUI is". Astor was a bright light and without him here the world feels like a darker place. But he taught me to always have time for everyone and always always be kind
