Hard to believe and difficult to accept that Tony is gone - just like that ! So sad ! Anthony O Akinyemi was my childhood friend. We grew up together (with other mutual friends) in Nigeria before our sojourning abroad (UK). He was an embodiment of excellence. He was a typical bookworm, an “efficio “ of the highest order. He loved books and loved reading. He frequently raised the bar whenever he had the opportunity to study and learn - always excelled amongst his compare. Tony had an incurable disease of education and knowledge. He always demonstrated insatiable willingness to acquire and utilise new skills. His candour, resourcefulness, courage and determination to make a difference is unique. His footprints left remarkable imprints in our hearts. He bequeathed enviable legacy of knowledge per excellence, worthy of emulation to younger generations. May God elbow his treasured soul with eternal tranquility. My thoughts and prayers are with all members of the family at this trying moment. May God grant them with abundant sustenance , providence, protection, love and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. I would like to implore his family members, associates, college and friends not to mourn his demise but to celebrate his enviable life and values. Adieu Tony, until we meet again - to part no more. May your soul rest in perfect peace.
