A true legend; the world seems a little bit dimmer and far less sarcastic without Andy and his smile in it. He was far more than a colleague; he was a true friend and a great sounding board who always gave straight to the point and frank advice even when it was hard to hear. I’ve never met anyone with better timing for inappropriate jokes which always made them that much funnier, even when direct at me. Sometimes a look could get us both giggling together in the office which always brightened up the days.
The love that he had for Jan and the kids shone through all the chats we had about the goings on of the clan at home. He looked forward to nothing more than a weekend in the garden with the girls and my thoughts go out to the whole family who I know he treasured so much.
Andy has touched so many lives which means he will live on in others for years to come. I know I have professionally and personally learned so much from him and will forever be grateful of his support over the years especially when my mum was poorly. He will be so sadly missed by all he knew - CL will never be the same without him.
We will raise a glass or some double parked pints of Fosters to our friend as soon as we can!
