B V T `British volleyball team` will miss Als daft ideas :/ :)
I have lots of pictures and videos of us (the jolly boys) days out and xmas etc and will post them on here over next few weeks.... Cheers Al for being our buddy! x
Sad day today hearing the news of the loss of a good friend from Portsmouth - Alan Stafford ('Algie'). First met him about 30 years back. Life then centred around motorbikes of all sorts as we all hung out in various garages, burger vans, bike shops ('Raffs') and other places where we'd watch the antics of other on their machines and talk about pretty much anything. We moved on to jet-skis and other machines of the time but he was always into bikes . Always the centre of any gathering (often in 'Wheelies'), we would all have a great time and Al was typically in the thick of it :) This was a guy that was always smiling, was a 'buddy' to just about everyone I knew and would always help anyone with anything they needed. You will be missed. My thoughts are with your family and many friends. Keep riding & RIP my friend
Every night was a party night in the old vic where i met Big Al

The only man that could ever get away with changing in to a T-Shirt & shorts at a wedding!
Al was a huge part of my life growning up, it was a points that you’d see him every week and each and every week he was bubbly, lovely and always full of life. One of the kindest souls you could ever meet and always was willing to help when he could, weeks on end he was at mine building my first scooter so that I could join him on the scene. Love you Al and will never forget you x

Al we will always remember you hun for all the good fun times we had with you Drunken nights days out holidays You sure did love a fun time hun. You were such a lovely gentle man and would give anyone anything. A big kind hearted man who we will miss so much We are all totally gutted that you won’t be here anymore. We will always treasure our great memories of you hun we all loved you so much I can just hear you now saying Ohhhh STOP IT lol
Al,what can I say mate,I'm so sad at the thought of you not being around anymore. I may not have known you as long as others but when I came into the scooter scene you were one of the first to make me feel welcome and from that moment we have got on so well. Life has been a rollercoaster and that happened to be your favourite karaoke tune to bellow out your tones and get the whole lot of us and whoever else was in front of you to sing along with you. Not looking forward to hearing that song now as there will definitely be a tear in my eye just thinking of you. I will cherish the times that we all had together on holidays, out drinking or having a ride on the scooters and going for a coffee over canoe lake. We have lost one of the funniest and kindest men anyone could wish to meet and it will not be the same without you. I only spoke to you the day before the IOW and we were going to have a catch up when I got back. It will not be the same without you big fella and I hope that wherever you are you're happy and content and enjoying yourself as we all know that you will. Goodnight and god bless x
I first met Big Al at Northern Soul dance classes. He knew how to make you feel welcome, relaxed and part of the gang, even though there was no gang. He was a crazy funny loving man, that you just couldn’t help but smile and laugh when you were in his company. Dance classes weren’t as fun without Al. We often saw Al out on scooter events, weekends away, and had so much fun at the crazy parties that always happened on the first night at Sandford in Roger & Mandy’s caravan. He was definitely the life and soul. Al will be sadly missed ... a great loving character that will leave a void in the many gatherings, northern soul nights, and rally’s. We hope you are now resting in peace Al. Love always Neat & Ginge xxxx
Al, I am so gutted that you are gone and I can assure you I will never forget you. Over 20 years have passed from being that annoying kid who wouldn't leave your side. Holidays together, Jet Skiing, Monkey Biking and even nearly got you Skiing! I will always remember you as that kind man who always helped me when you could. You were the 1st person to offer to help me fit my car stereo, the 1st person I visited when I passed my driving test & the 1st person to meet the girl I now call my Wife. Your kind nature and bubbly personality touched so many hearts and your legacy will never be forgotton I hope you are happy up there, give Lil a kiss from me xx Love you Liam xx
