I interviewed Alex when he was a very shy young man, coming in for an Apprentice Software Tester role. I recall that compared to his peers, he had a different view of how to assess and work on problems. When it come to finding complex issues, Alex was the one that found them. Alex was a contrarian which meant he had character and I liked and admired that. In this part of the world we would call him a "Good Lad" and he certainly was. My deepest condolences to Alex's family and friends.
