Ajit Thakurdas

June 13, 1940 - September 8, 2022

He made people laugh, he comforted them, he pranked them, he gave them his broad shoulders to lean on. He stood out - not just because of his towering personality, but also because of his large-heart in which thousands lived. He was a beloved husband, father, nana, mamu, jija-ji - filling these roles with his love, his friendly boxing punches, his chuckles, his mimicry, his mentoring and sharing his vast knowledge on so many things: from cricket to world history to western movies.

Charming, mesmerising, handsome my Ajit Mamu. I observed him very closely and always wanted to be like him. He would allow me to be with him in his mancave/ study and just hang out or use his dumbbells. Big man with a child's heart, extremely funny and fantastic sense of humour. I am certain, wherever he is right now he is making people laugh and giggle. Love you Mamu, always miss you.
