We remember you Anne,
You are the humble smiling Taipan lady from old Hong Kong.
You showed us how to address social needs. In your unassuming manner, you funded, organised and delivered countless projects in education, public health, childcare, special needs, rehabilitation, care for the elderly and social equity.
We see you Anne.
You are smiling at us from that place of eternal peace which you so richly deserve. It’s that same alluring but determined smile with which you overcame innumerable barriers against social equality, for nearly six decades.
We hear you Anne.
You are telling us quietly but firmly to soldier on, no matter what. We take heart, but wonder how many can ever be as dedicated as yourself towards the welfare of others.
We feel you will always be with us Anne.
You will always be our inspiration.
We do not mention any institution or group that you have nurtured. We simply hope that many more, especially the young and capable, will follow your example. In this way, humanity will perpetually reap the rewards of your life’s devotion.
