Your kindness touched me thousands of times. You made me laugh every time when I was down and lifted my spirit when I was telling you that I am 'broken'. I will be eternally grateful for each and every moment we shared together. You are simply irreplaceable. Chief... I will always carry you in my heart. Ivo (your boy) xx

Emma - Thank you for all the laughs and funny stories, thank you for the support, thank you for taking me to Hooters for chicken wings when my pregnancy cravings were out of control but most of all, thank you for being you. You had a way to always brighten up the room, make tough situations not so bad and offer your support even when you were snowed under yourself. Thinking of your family and friends at this sad time xxx

Dear Emma, the impact you had on me as a professional but also as an individual will never be matched. You were there for me during a very challenging year. Your positivity, enthusiasm and cheekiness is what made me push through when I was ready to give up. I will forever be grateful to you and honoured that I had the pleasure of being part of your team and develop myself under your leadership. You will always have a special place in my heart. Your favourite traitor Sabina xx

Emma what can I put here. I consider myself luck to know you. You brought joy to every situation. You were amazing to work with, your patience was amazing you never whinged and moaned, but listened when I went off on one. It will not be the same without you you are dearly missed by me and all who knew you. David (Dai)

Dear Emma- every time I think of you I smile, even in the worst times you have brought joy to those who knew you. I count myself incredibly lucky to have known you as a Manager and as a friend. I honestly would not be where I am if it wasn't for your support. I know the words are insufficient but I will miss you my friend. Keep laughing, Caroline

Cowley - I still don't think I am fully processing this, even now, weeks later. It honestly feels like a little bit of light has gone from my world and everything is just that bit darker. I've never known anyone who can brighten someone's day like you could. A constant source of belly laughs, outrageous stories, questionable advice, and the most fun person I have ever known. You truly were one of best humans / friends I could have ever hoped to have in my life. You were 1 in a 7 billion, not just 1 in a million. Things will certainly will be a lot less fun without you, but on the other hand I will always be eternally thankful for all those years of memories, and the hundreds (maybe thousands) of photos / videos I have of us, to remind me of the good times we had. I will always remember you for that cheeky smile and mischievous twinkle in your eye. I'm certain this isn't goodbye forever, just until I see you again. So keep me a pint of wine 'pal'. Love you always, Erin (your "wee Irish bomb") xx

Emma - you were an absolute pleasure and joy to know and love. I have so many fond memories of working together in CWL1, of nights' out, and in more recent times, updates from David (Dai) on what you did next! I know that you will continue to shine bright in the lives of all of everyone who knew you and loved you. Pauline xx

Dearest Emma it was an absolute privilege and joy to know you, work with you and consider you a friend. Always so full of fun and enthusiasm, always kind and thoughtful, we had so many good times and laughs together. One of my favourite memories of you is when we went to Prague and a group of us girls spent the evening in the rooftop spa, enjoying a few sherbets in the jacuzzi and taking turns for the masseuse. We had such a great time and you were at the heart of it Emma, your good-natured mischief was infectious! I’m glad I had the opportunity to spend some time with you recently when we took the L&D apprentices out to play crazy golf. You won by a significant margin before revealing you had been having some golf lessons! Happy those worked out for you! You were always very supportive of me, a great sounding board and dispenser of helpful advice, a fantastic advocate for our apprentices and conscientious sponsor of our program. I’ll miss you for all these very special qualities but grateful to have had you in my life. Final thought Emma which I think you’d find funny, every time I see a penguin, it makes me think of you and I smile broadly. Much love Lynnie Xx

We had so much fun Emma setting up the apprenticeships . You were great to work with and what a laugh we had … knee deep in swag at BHx while Ian had “meetings”. Driving down the M1 in a mini full of kindles doing drops at the FCs… Ian’s fact of the day and I’ll never forget mini golf …. When you filmed me to show how bad I was and I got a hole in one ha ha ! . We had so many good times and I can’t believe we won’t laugh again . You had the biggest heart , smile and laugh.. you were so much fun . You will be missed but always in our hearts ❤️

Chère Emma, Just a few weeks ago, we were sat opposite one another in a cozy trattoria restaurant in Milan tucking into a huge slab of tiramisu and giggling away at the misfortunes of some rugby teams in the Autumn Nations tournament. We were making plans for the future and we agreed we would spice up our 2023 team meetings by arranging them around the 6 Nations Tournament timetable. I remember vividly your bubbly laughter and smiley face as we polished our shenanigans. This is how I will remember you Emma, laughing, smiling and full of life and energy! Fred

You had the kindest heart and the best sense of humour. Your support was always there and never went unnoticed and I'm so grateful that we met and worked together. You had an ability to make the most stressful of times feel like everything was absolutely fine and taught us to laugh about it along the way. Thank you for everything Em x

From meeting you in Prague where you welcomed me into the Amazon learning family and became a mate, more than a friend, someone who i could laugh, cry, scream with and learn so much from along the way. We will all miss you so much. We will meet again, rest easy. X

You will be sorely missed, for your sense of humour, tenacity and ability to 'cut through the fluff'. Testament to your leadership is how you made us all feel in EU22, one Team, enjoying our work, having fun, growing and always knowing you had our backs. Our last team joke in the picture, “ I’m Emma!” Taken far too soon.

Em i am going to miss you and the laughter so much. You Em, to me, were the example of how life should be lived. You always had fun, went through life with a huge smile on your face and did so much for others leaving the world a better place than when you came into it. I added this photo because i think it sums up our work nights out together. ( This one was a John Bishop comedy gig in Croydon ) miss you X

I can't believe you've been taken too soon, and far too young. It has come as a complete shock. When I think of Emma I think of two things, her stories, and her friendships. She was always able to generate such trustful connections with people! Gentle in spirit, but also fun and mischievous. A wonderful gossip, in all the best ways. I didn’t know that it was possible to gossip without malice, but she would share with such wonder and scandal haha. There was always a little twinkle in the eye, and you knew she would be up to something, some shenanigan or another, penguin related or not. She was also fiercely loyal, if you were in her team, and you delivered results for her, she would back you all the way, no matter the audience or the influence of the person who disagreed. She was moral like that. She was in that way very maternal. She would often talk about her babies. She didn’t mean that in a patronizing way, she just deeply cared about her team, and would be gratefully and protective of their contribution, even when others couldn’t see it. I think this is because she knew the job, from the bottom up. She knew that it was hard, she knew that it was often thankless, and she knew that regardless of competency, people would be trying. I think this speaks to what impressed me the most about Emma, it will be the enduring lesson that I will take from her life: she turned up! She was so humble, she knew her weaknesses, she knew that perhaps she didn’t have the same talent as others, but she never once let that hold her back. She always wanted to know what more she could do, what challenges she could take on, how to improve. For me she epitomized the growth mindset. She didn’t dwell on mistakes or past failures, always focused on the next challenge, and always focused on what she could control. You could give her any task, and you could be certain it would be done to the best of her ability. On those occasions that it wasn’t quite good enough, she would strive, and learn, and push herself to get it good enough. Is there more of a testament to someone’s true self than that. I’m not sure there is. She was a good person. That is a line that can too easily be passed over, but she was, she was a good person. I will miss her. I will miss being able to message her for random shit or giggles. I will miss being able to complain to her about the uni course that we are on together. I will miss her dependability, her support, her lack of judgement, and her mischievous spirit. It is a real loss and I will miss her. Graham

Your stolen penguin story never failed to make he laugh, and the FART tool which you quickly renamed DART! I'm going to miss working with you, words can't describe what a loss you are. I am at a loss for words. You were a person everyone wanted to reckon with. You’re so beautiful inside-out. When I joined Women@ Ops board you made me feel so much at ease and I am so thankful that i had the pleasure to work with you. Our last call - ''Wiki help from Yoda'' was exactly what I needed that week - cheered me up! Thank you for all the memories we shared.

Emma, what can I say? The Lego loving Queen and all her toys! Who can forget the Chewbacca mask? The much talked about applications for Love Island & for a job at Cayote Ugly! Loved her rugby, always laughing and generally up to much mischief with the saying ‘In my defence Jules’ when she’d either done or bought something mad! Irrepressible beautiful girl, you are & will be sorely missed. Love you ❤️

Emma was an amazing person and probably one of the most entertaining colleagues I've ever known! She would often turn up to work with some new toy she'd picked up, more often than not hilariously inappropriate which was just 'Emma' and perfect to brighten up a dull day! She'd gift us with 'Emma merch' on a regular basis, like an Emma themed advent calendar, notebook and the best flip calendar I've ever received featuring the entire CWL1 leadership team at the time. So glad that I kept these little momentums to remember the honourable unofficial HRM Cowley! Such a pleasure to have known you Emma xxx
