Barri got me into Deloitte in 2017 - her depth of knowledge, her directness, her good charm, her leadership posture, her inspirational mind convinced me. She became my mentor and coach at Deloitte and she was always there for me when needed. I already miss her and so does Deloitte. My deepest condolences to her husband, children, family and close friends. We all lost a great leader and rolemodel.

At 5 Below in Las Vegas (2014) Barri was one of the first people I met when we joined Deloitte and very quickly came to realize why everyone loved her and said I should get to know her. A true strategist, but more importantly great colleague Barri brought an infectious energy to everything she did. She will be missed.

I got to know Barri when I joined Deloitte, three years ago. She was one of the powerhouses that made the Life Sciences team so unique and so attractive. She had a positivity that was infectious. She was an exceptional colleague, leader, and mentor. Barri left her mark on countless careers, mine included, and was instrumental in helping to establish the incredible Life Sciences team at Deloitte that I was lucky enough to join. I will forever remember Barri for her courage and optimism, but also for her kindness and compassion, constantly encouraging others to do their best and celebrating their successes. She helped to create the DNA of a team that everyone wanted to join. The loss of Barri is enormous and is rippling through the Life Sciences community at Deloitte. She is so much a part of 'why we are, who we are' that it's hard to imagine what it looks like afterwards. She was greatly loved, and she will be greatly missed. More than a colleague, Barri was first a mother and a wife. It is with the deepest sympathies that I offer my sincere condolences.

I joined Deloitte Switzerland in 2016 and had a chance to get to know Barri on a few occasions. The first time I heard about Barri was through the people she worked with. Many people independently mentioned her as a role model for what a leader should be like. When an opportunity came to meet her (on a Life Science training), she left an incredible impression. She delivered training with empathy, know-how, enthusiasm, and gravitas that are extremely rare to find in one person. All in all, Barri was a role model for many on how to develop teams, care for people, and deliver an outstanding client experience. The number of people she inspired over the years is uncountable. She was truly one of the all-time great partners and will be sorely missed. My condolences to the family and all dear friends.

As if it was yesterday, I remember presenting with Barri at a university event. Barri had already some difficulties in talking but that didn’t stop or worry her at all. She marshalled across the stage and gave a full of insights lecture about the pharmaceutical industry business, its inner works and complexities. In true Barri style she didn’t shy away from facing the industry’s ethical dilemmas too. Students in the packed auditorium were mesmerised by Barri’s deep expertise, agile and profound intellect. By her passion for the subject. Her honesty and frankness. She even cracked a few jokes and got the audience even more involved. I sat there listening and I felt so small as I stood in front of such a giant, at so much knowledge and eminence as well as human strength. I remember calling my wife to explain how proud I was to have sat there by Barri while she delivered her speach. I will miss you dear Barri, the drinks we had together, the projects, the proposal work, even the disagreements: I’ll miss them all. I hope and pray you are resting in peace now and that your loved ones will find some comfort in knowing you had so many people around you that admired you and will always be honoured to count you as Partner.

I’ll always remember Barri as my first coach at Deloitte. She was incredibly approachable, insightful and always made time for other people. In her client work, where I had the opportunity to work with her earlier in my career, she was committed, incredibly client centric and deeply focused upon delivering value. I have followed her on Instagram for a few years now and I am truly amazed at the strength of her character as she battled such a cruel condition. I will always have wonderful memories of Barri and she will be sorely missed.
