Vijay was our senior at B-school and could have easily treated us as 'juniors'. Instead, he treated each one of us with genuine respect, making us feel equals. His leadership skills, being able to see the big picture and an amazing ability to execute were the hallmarks of someone who was destined to go places. Always greeting us with a disarming smile, he was someone who I always desired to please and impress; bug him with my questions, seek his views, have him mentor. He had this persona that attracted most of us to him like a magnet.
His amazing smile, his genuine respect for others, his completely selfless ways of being - these are things that remained till the very end. He was a rock and will continue to have a towering influence on me.
I was blessed to be with Vijay every time he came to Bangalore for therapy and got to share some moments that I will cherish for all my life.
