I write to express our grief and deepest condolences to you and your entire family over the demise of your beloved husband, father and brother, Late Professor Victor Adolf Fischer, who transited to eternal glory at his prime.
Your beloved husband’s demise is painful, shocking, devastating and a great loss to all of us who knew and related with him. He was a distinguished academic and scholar, a peace advocate, a role model and a gentleman of honour. He was a caring friend and reliable professional whose contributions to humanity, growth and development of his chosen field are indelible.
His simplistic nature earned him admiration from both the old and the young who had cause to interact with him. We his friends will miss his sense of humour and good working relationship, which endeared him to colleagues and peers.
My family and Department commiserate with you over this sad occurrenceandprayGod Almighty to comfort you and grant your family, Department andtheUniversityofCalabar community the grace to bear this irreparable loss. May his gentleandamiablesoul find repose in the bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
