This was just hours before my first ever live performance. Each time I see this photo I remember that day like it was just yesterday. I was extremely nervous that day and I ended up performing to fewer than 6 people as the last performer. I was bummed out at the fact that I didn’t get to perform earlier. I still remember word for word what Tobias said to me that night. He said “Look at all your favorite artists, they all had stories like this, If anything this night proved is that you are where you belong. This is a sign”. Tobias had a perspective on things that would always amaze me. He had an energy around him that could be felt just by being around him. He truly was special. On October 1, 2020 not only did I lose my closest cousin, I lost a brother and a friend. Farewell brother, till we meet again. ❤️
This was when the big snow storm hit and we were all inside glen worried about our mock exams that were in a few days and Tobias got me to put on my coat and hat and go sliding down the steep hills beside Mr.Clarke’s classroom on a dinner tray with him. This was the type of person he was, even though everyone was nervous and stressed about exams he always found a way to make people happy and see the brighter side of life even when you didn’t think there was one. This is such a special memory for me and every time I see this picture I can’t help but feel Tobias’ infectious smile.

I met Tobias on the 23rd of December 2019. A date I will never forget. I was the triage nurse in a hospital and I remember thinking, what an absolute gentle and well mannered young man. He was so calm and positive until the end. Tobias was a fighter, he made me believe in the power of positivity and looking beyond the physical. It was great pleasure visiting him in the wards and chatting with him. He cared so much about people and would always ask how my shift in work was going. I am glad our paths crossed Tobias, it was an honor to know you. You will surely be missed.
