Teresa Brown

April 4, 1966 - June 4, 2020

In memory of Teresa Brown also known as ‘Miss T’. Teresa was a quiet, kind and thoughtful person who spent her entire working life in the Trust from the day she left school. She started her career at Smallwood Hospital, moving to the Alex when it opened. She worked for many years in the Outpatients department before transferring to Ophthalmology in 2004. Teresa was a very special, much loved and respected friend as well as a colleague. She cared very much about each and every person in the team as well as her patients. She had the unique ability to make everyone laugh, even in the toughest of times but she was also caring and sensitive at the same time. Aside from work, Teresa enjoyed spending time with her close family who were very important to her. Teresa has left a huge hole in our lives, she will be remembered for her loyalty, love and affection always. She was indeed a truly beautiful person.

Teresa was a dear college and a valued member of Ophthalmology work family. The cave will never be the same without her cheeky little smile and her wealth of knowledge. Teresa was very fond of her collection of minions upon which became part of the ophthalmology team too. I loved winding Teresa up by moving the minions at the end of a shift to make it look like they had been up to mischief. To get her own back she would jokingly report me to sister saying I’ve been abusing her minions again and would give me cheeky smile, I would then sweeten her up with bread pudding. Rest in peace lovely lady, my love always x x Louise x x

Teresa was a dear colleague and Alex Ophthalmology will not be the same without her. I have so many fond memories of working with her and when we went out to celebrate special occasions. We often used to have a laugh and a joke, most of the time trying to wind each other up, I would try to sabotage her desk (normally her collection of minions) and she would sabotage my pop! Rest in peace Teresa, with love from Sam x x

I'm am so sorry to hear the news of Teresa's sudden passing. It is indeed a shock to us all. She will be missed by us all in Outpatients both at the Alex and POWCH sites. We will hold onto the fond memories we have of Teresa. Thinking of Teresa's family, friends and work family at this sad and difficult time.
