Chuen Seng was in the first of my bunch of 'PhD student children', kind, friendly and smart. He struggled with pronounce my name, always had a hard time with the 'r' but never gave up. I wanted to visit Singapore when retired and ask him to be my guide. I'm sad this will not be happening.

Chuen Seng, our interaction was always brief. When I was in Singapore, you were mostly in Stockholm and then Princeton. Soon after you came back to Singapore in 2012, I decided to move back to Australia. Yet, those brief interactions left deep memories. I remember your friendly nature and cherry, genuine smile. I remember you brought back 'I'm on the way to Princeton' shirt for my baby daughter. You would have been glad to know that she hast just won a scholarship and could indeed be on her way to Princeton. Thanks for all your thoughts, kindness and friendships. I will cherish those memories forever. May you rest in Peace.
