I have had the pleasure of meeting Stan several times in my time as external examiner.
Every time I met him he made me feel welcome and his smile and sense of humour said it all about his personality.
I did not know him as well as others but on the occasions I met him I knew instantly he was a kind caring soul.
His interactions with the students was a pleasure to watch they felt comfortable around him and he always made them smile.
So sorry to hear the news but I will always remember Stan.
My heartfelt condolences go out to his family friends and anybody else that was lucky enough to cross his path x
