The Embassy of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka in Paris presents its compliments to all Diplomatic Missions accredited to France and to International Organizations in France and has the honour to inform with deep sorrow that a series of horrifying terrorist attacks carried out on Easter Sunday, 21 April 2019 in Colombo, Negombo and Batticaloa, Sri Lanka has claimed the lives of 321 innocent civilians and left approximately 500 people injured. The Government of Sri Lanka has declared Tuesday, 23 April 2019 as a National Day of Mourning to remember and respect the victims of these attacks.
On this occasion a book of condolence will be opened at the Embassy of Sri Lanka in France at 16, rue Spontini, 75016, Paris from 11.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m from Thursday, 25 April 2019 to Friday, 26 April 2019.
The Embassy of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka in Paris avails itself of this opportunity to renew to all Diplomatic Missions accredited to France and to International Organizations in France the assurances of its highest consideration.
