On moving to Yarnton in 1978 I joined the WI and it was through this that I met Sheila but it soon became a long time friendship. As a new mother I felt I could always ask for guidance if needed. I spent many happy years on the WI committee where Sheila was our amazing treasurer plus we could always rely on her knowledge of running the business. Sheila amused me on occasions when catering was required she always offered to bring the crisps claiming she didn't like baking and yet Sheila made the most amazing mince pies which we all consumed when she and Michael hosted the very popular punch and mince pies gathering at Christmas, which they did for many years. Sheila was a very creative lady with many of us receiving beautiful handmade greeting cards then in later years she made exquisite bead work, a very talented lady.
Our condolences are sent with love to Michael and family with many happy memories to remember a lovely lady. Steve and Jane Hanks.
