Sergi Martinez Fernandez

November 3, 1980 - November 23, 2020

"Sergi joined CEVA in 2008 and from that moment forward has been seen as a person with an incredible energy and determination to get things done. He had the unusual talent to identify the smallest of opportunities and engage with the people around him to capitalize on it. His infectious optimism and positive attitude, pushed those he engaged with to go the extra mile and seek border crossing collaborations. For him there were no fights or conflicts but opportunities to work together towards a common goal. We learnt from him every day, also outside of work. His passion on certain topics was surpassed by no one, we have lost a truly kind and generous colleague! Sergi had only recently turned 40 years of age and has been surpassed by his wife Silvia and children Mariona & Oriol. Our thoughts go out to his family and loved ones, as we are truly sorry for their loss."

I consider Sergi a good mentor and a friend. He hired me and was my first manager in CEVA. We have moved to different teams and catch up occasionally. Our conversations were always interesting and memorable. He will be missed. My heart goes out to his family in this difficult times. I am praying that they will find comfort and strength for the days and weeks ahead. Thank you Sergi for all guidance and memories!
