Sarah McGibney

July 13, 1969 - June 14, 2020

A loud, crazy, hilarious, Irish girl with an infectious personality who lit up every room she ever entered. No one made life so much fun, swore so much and drunk Veuve Cliquot for any and every occasion like our shining star. No one was kinder, more generous and giving ....always there for anyone. At work, she was an absolutely brilliant marketeer, an amazing leader, loved and respected by all her teams and everyone that worked closely with her. At home, she was caring, understanding, loving and kind. She energized everyone around her ... a true force of nature. Sarah loved life, loved family and loved people. She enriched all our lives ... and we will be so much the poorer without her. A service is planned in Manilva Cemetery on Tuesday, June 23rd at 12:00. Due to Covid restrictions, as we write this, only 25 people wearing masks will be allowed into the chapel. Those of you who wish to come and pay your respects outside, are welcome to do so. We will keep you updated of any changes in restrictions on this page, closer to the day. We will organise a memorial service for Sarah in Ireland, at a time when anybody who wishes to, is able to travel. At the ceremony, we will be playing, 'You Raise me Up' and 'My Love' both by Westlife, 'Your Love Keeps Lifting me Higher and Higher' by Jackie Wilson, and 'Let me Go' by Gary Barlow. If you would like to be with us in music and spirit, why not play these songs wherever you are at 12:00 Spanish time. We will be wearing some blue in honor of her beautiful eyes and white, in memory of the wonderful time we had at her 50th birthday. Sarah was a passionate admirer of, and contributor to 52 lives and we would greatly appreciate it if you could donate to this charity, in lieu of flowers. In order to do so copy this link: https://52-lives.charitycheckout.co.uk/cf/in-memory-of-sarah and paste it in your browser.

I think about about our 1st encounter at work, a conf call, full of directors and at one point you look at me and said "what a bunch of wankers" obviously we were not muted... You were honest, straight to the point, so strong and driven.. a great leader but also so caring at the same time.I'm going to miss our cigi break when we talked about everything but work and you eyes lit up every time we were talking about your family, You were living for these moments.Sarah loved her family more than anything else. i'm thinking of you now and all my thoughts are with you
