I first met Ron in 1981 as students at NSW Insitute of Technology. I was a young student straight out of school and Ron being "mature age" I was touched by his generosity, patience and humour which was a great comfort as I worked my way through the six years of that course. We stayed in touch over the years and I was always impressed by his good humour and wise counsel. I was deeply saddended to hear of his illness a year ago and we shared some of our experiences in that journey, My condolences to his family.

My best memories of Ron include his incredible sense of humour and his dedication to social equity and inclusion through good planning and architectural design.
