Ron was brilliant, I thought the world of him. I worked behind the bar for 4 years we used to have some lovely chats , especially the 5.15-8pm Shift when it was quiet, he’d sit at the end of the bar with a cup of tea, telling stories.
In the last few years we got into a little routine of having a Christmas catch up on the phone, and last year we had a lovely meet up with Claire Mcginty in Pershore. He showed us a family video and was so proud of his children, and grandchildren and all their achievements.
I’ll miss hearing that enthusiastic “ Alright Blue!“ at other end of the phone
.
RIP Ron, we’ll miss you x
