Uncle Robert was a person I lowed and respected from the first time I met him.
It would not be wrong to say I loved him like my own father who was of the same vintage.
He was humble, gracious, knowledgeable and wise with a great sense of humour.
I remember with affection the many chats I have had with him about Trinity, Sri Lanka, Medicine and other topics.. There were no regrets, envy, greed, prejudice or narrow mindedness in his thoughts, speech or actions.
He had lived a fulfilling life of grace and service and was content.
We will cherish the many occasions we celebrated with him and will always remember what a wonderful host he was. Will also always remember his jokes , his smile and his laughter.
It was a privilege to have had him as part of our lives and the world will be a lesser place without him.
This was a great man who lived a full and wonderful life. A life which should be celebrated.
