I first met Terry in August 2019, with me being brand new to the RNLI and Terry being one of the first colleagues to get in touch and introduce himself. We bonded immediately over our similar circumstances managing and supporting a landlocked area as part of our role and Terry was the friendliest, warmest welcome I could have possibly received. I always loved our catch-ups, putting the world to rights and just being great support for one another. Terry helped me through the tough times and always had 5-10 minutes to listen, offer advice or point me in the right direction. Any time I think of Terry I always have the biggest smile on my face and I hope he knew how much his selfless, empathetic and friendly personality brightened the day of others.
