Richie and I bonded shortly after he started at Jamestown and I was fairly new as well. We bonded over fashion, our love for good shoes and working out. We had many conversations about not fitting the mold and I think that is what I admired most about Richie. He was 100% himself at all times no matter the audience. Until COVID hit, I was set to compete (body building) on August 1st this year in Tampa...just this past weekend. Richie was constantly checking in with me on my progress and encouraging me to keep at it. He even said he wanted to attend the competition to support me. I truly believe he would have been there cheering me on from the crowd. Last year when I returned to the office after surgery, Richie stopped by to my desk often. He would offer to grab me water, run down to get me lunch and even offered to walk with me when I had to get up and move around (slowly) every hour. That was Richie.....a supporter of all, a huge heart, the always positive attitude and the biggest smile. He will most certainly be missed.
