Richie always had so much of life pumping through him. His energy was infectious, and everyone could not help but hang on the edge of their seat waiting to hear about his sailing adventures, travel, or new captivating personal interest. Given how much of a people person, entertainer, and international brand he was, he’d always be surrounded by fascinating people engaged in a myriad of ventures. My time at Jamestown with Richie enabled me to get to know him, and to stay in touch well beyond our shared work role. We met up in Los Angeles and Washington DC in the past year, and both times represented a bolt of enthusiasm into my life. Richie was true to himself in ways that I admired greatly, and to that point I’ll never forget how honest he was with himself and others around him. We had exchanged messages ~2 weeks back, talking about our houses and lives generally speaking, and I’ll leave this off with where he found his Zen moments in life in a message to me on 7/17/20… "I love working in the yard and gardening. Mowing my lawn in the summer and blowing leaves in the fall are my Zen moments.” I’ll miss Richie, RIP.
