Richard was one of my first colleagues when I joined the FCA. He was so friendly and chatty; he made me feel so welcome. I used to arrive at my desk to find sweets and cake that he’d sourced on a walk round the office! He made us laugh out loud in virtual team catch ups during lockdown, which was much needed in dark times. I had Richard in our team Secret Santa, and I got him a ‘His Lordship’ mug. I certainly thought it was apt. I’m desperately sad that he is no longer with us. He was such a kind, caring, funny and thoughtful individual. I feel privileged to have known him. I will be thinking of his family, whom Richard spoke of often and so clearly adored. I send my sincerest condolences.
