Many years ago Reuben as a counsellor in the branch presidency and acting bishop befriended a very bewildered and awkward young man. That young man was me. I was less active for years and didn’t know the doctrines of the church as I do now. Due to his leadership I was able to learn my duty as a youth and gain an understanding of my purpose. He also instilled in me a great deal of self-confidence. I am forever thankful to God for giving me Reuben as one of my first indelible leaders and brother. My heart felt condolences go out to his family at this time. I pray for God’s comfort and strength to attend them.
