Ralf Steudel

March 25, 1937 - February 12, 2021

A lot of people have known him as a big scientist, especially a sulfur chemist. Once he was lecturing at the University of Urbana-Champaign, IL, and he was introduced in a nice manner ""S" in the periodic System Stands for Steudel". It felt like that for many. He was a known text-book author, an incredible teacher. But first of all, he was an amazing person. He was generous, he was humorous, he was very critical (!) and he was such a loving person.
