We spent a very nice evening with Rahul beg January 2018, reuniting just before the strategy trek. Nobody on this picture had any idea of how demanding would the trek be, with lots of late evenings for each team. So long my friend Rahul.
We shared the 0200hrs Qatar flight after every Singapore module and had long conversations while waiting to board and on the flight. I promised to visit this December en-route to Singapore and now wish I had taken the opportunity to come over earlier. Glad to have known you, my friend.
I don't have much chance to talk to Rahul. Most of the time, he was a bit quiet. We met in Fonty outside the 'Strategy & Incentive' Class and had a chat. I was bored with the subject and was happy to find that he felt the same, as both of us were HR background and the subject was like 'HR for Non-HR'. We exchanged our view and talked about our background. I found out he was such a nice person and very knowledgeable, and he loved his family so much. This was the only time that we talked. Now I lost the chance to know him better and I feel so regret!!! Rest in Peace my dear friend and all my thoughts and prayers go to your family!
Rahul was a gem of person and a dear friend. He will be missed dearly. We were making so many plans together for graduation and beyond but god had a different plan altogether.
It came as a huge shock when we were informed of this tragic news. I still remember the long chats exchanging our future plans, his story of meeting Menka, closeness to the kids. The instance of him flying back to Doha soon after Fonti as he was keen to have breakfast in Doha with family is funnily instilled in mind. The cherished memories of our various lunches, dinners (desi khana) and hanging out at the SG INSEAD residences will always stay with me. Rahul was always soft spoken, calm and trustable friend. Will miss you buddy Menka, his kids, his parents, may God give youll all the strength to come out of this bereavement.
We spent the afternoon together in Doha. You showed me the city, we had a nice lunch and we went to meet your family at your place. We had a great time despite the 48 degrees temperature outside!
I first met with Rahul during INSEAD GEMBA Electives in Fontainebleau July 2018. We spent a good time on campus. He was of very kind and sharing nature. We exchanged number and promised to connect in future.
We took turned to organise our LDP dinners or lunches, trying to go for themes or special occasion or simply food in honor of one of us. For the one I organised in May, I surprised the team with a dinner at NOX, Dine in the dark, in memory of our blindfolded adventure in the jungle during the first module. We could not see a thing and were served by blind people. And of course it was blind tasting! I still remember the laughter and jokes. One of our best moment.
Together with Rahul at the National Costume party in Fontainebleau in July. Rest In Peach my dear friend...
It’s hard to come to terms that we aren’t meeting this December, it is a big loss to us at GEMBA Asia. I remember how excited you were with the idea of adorning Indian pagdi at national costume party and contributed to the initiative, will miss you my friend. You will always be in our prays. OM SHANTI!
I still remember vividly on this day when the pic was taken in in Fontainebleau, you asked me "Bhai smart lag raha hai na?" (Isn't your brother looking smart?)... Buddy, you looked smart that day and every single day I met you. How I wish I could have spend more time with you in Abu Dhabi last week. Miss you brother!! May God rest your soul in peace and the angels always be there with you!
Our BBQ LDP dinner in Abu Dhabi at Emirate Palace on the beach.
Our first encounter as an LDP group, after walking blindfolded in the jungle to 'find our tree'. We didn't find that tree, but this created a bond that we carried all the way.
I have known Rahul for very little time but it felt like much more ! He was a gentlemen, words cannot express my sadness and my prayers are with his family. He wanted to start an INSEAD Chapter in Doha and was keen to meet new fellow inseaders. You will always be remembered Rahul. God bless your family and may your soul rest in peace
