I will always remember Tony's kindness and and sense of fun. The photo was taken in the ruins of Leptus Magna in Libya. Tony is examining the regeneration of medic. While he is best remembered for his ideas (on virtual water and the food chain in particular) he was also very connected to the real world of farming and a great supporter of regenerative farming. His best known efforts were directed at a more sustainable use of our natural resources but he also had a strong sense of social responsibility and was Labour Party stalwart who did the hard work, pounded the streets and knocked on doors.
