I'm shocked to hear this incredibly sad news. Chris was a gifted scientist, a pioneer in many fields, and a wonderful supervisor. I was extremely fortunate to have worked in his lab, and thankful for everything that he taught me. I was always amazed that someone with such success and so many responsibilities still somehow managed to find time for all of those around him. His loss will be a huge blow to the University, and even more so to his family and closest friends. My thoughts are with Katherine and Daniel at this difficult time.
