Chris was an exceptional and inspirational leader. My interaction with him was largely in relation to his direction of postdoctoral affairs, a founding role that he embraced with genuine passion and complete commitment alongside his many other interests. A massive loss, when there was so much still to come. Sincerest condolences to his family and collegues.
