Dear Pieter, I would wish you could see what a legacy you are leaving behind!! It would make you shy and proud at the same time and we would see your unique smile again. I think you have never fully realized how BIG your impact really is.
You have built your quality and sustainability department from scratch, with a clear vision you relentlessly worked to complete it. What I always admired is how you were able to adjust the path to any external circumstances that were thrown at you, but you never left your goal out of sight.
You had that ability to take people with you, to inspire others to be at their best whilst letting them be who they are. Many people have learned a lot from you, not only what to do but also how to best approach situations/challenges/people. I remember when we started our new partnership with BMW: oh my god Deutsche Gruendlichkeit " you said, "this will not be easy, but I will take care of it." So you re-freshed your German skills and managed the conversations all by yourself in German, with a dutch nuchter attitude and a good understandig for Gruendlichkeit.
Thank you so much for everything. Du bist nicht mehr da wo Du warst, aber Du wirst ueberall sein. Alles Liebe, Nina
