I knew Petra since 2014 when our scientific project started in Santiago. She received me, helped me, facilitated all my missions and treated me as her friend and not as just a colleague. Words can't describe my inside pain with your loss Petra. I can imagine what everyone is feeling in your lab, especially after hearing what Petra meant to be for them : "she treats us as our mothers and not like a supervisor". I will remember you always Petra for every word you said to me during those last six years of my life. I am so glad that I met you, that I worked with you and that I learned positivism from you.
I can't imagine how much you would mean for your family, your husband and your kids. You were always worried about them and stressed to pick them up after their football matchs... I felt how much you love your family and I can imagine how much you are beloved by everyone.
For your husband and kids : I am so sorry for your loss, be strong and I am sure that the spirit of Petra will never quit. She will be always with us.
