Petra's nature was calm, pleasant, accommodating and very very friendly, with always having a smile in her face. And she was a very famous scientist in her field. During our last mail traffic in October I never thought it would be the last one. Now I wished I'd let her known how inspiring she is to me, especially regarding her characteristics. She gains my greatest respect by working so enthusiastic and simultaneously having cancer.
It's hard to digest those news and somehow it reminds us on the finiteness of life.
