It is with great sadness that we announce the untimely death of Simon Peter Mukhama, CEO and General Secretary, Bible Society of Uganda this morning. Simon Peter led the Bible Society of Uganda for more than ten years, overseeing various ground-breaking projects such as a Braille Bible, the publication of a bilingual Bible in English and Spanish which was presented to Pope Francis on his official visit to Uganda by President Museveni in 2012 and the redevelopment of the Bible House.
