In May I had the privilege of observing one of Penny’s Crown Court Practice elective sessions. I asked to go along, knowing that it would be impressive and for the joy of seeing one of the most talented people I know in action. It was a masterclass in expertise, student engagement and overall teaching skill. It came as no surprise to me but still it was a wonderful thing to see.
I have worked closely with Penny from the moment she joined the School. She had and will always have my complete respect. Her energy and enthusiasm were infectious. She filled a room with positivity and fun. Penny, I will miss you as a colleague and as a friend. When we are back on campus we will find a new lunch venue and all raise a glass to you. We will always remember you and never stop talking about you.
