Rouss, Paulina (Paula) passed peacefully on Friday, January 18th, 2019, after long struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born on October 15, 1934 in Vlaardingen, Holland to Paul and Adrienne Vandenberg. She leaves behind her loyal husband of 65 years, Anton Rouss and three loving children: Margaret Stinson (Dean Raynor), Paul Rouss (Lori Fearn-Rouss) and Janet Rouss, along with eight grandchildren: Summitt Rouss (Laurie McGregor), Kinsey Marshall; Simon, Aaron and Rachel Seligman, Julian Milne and, Beau and Hunter Raynor. Great Grandchildren, Eric, Vaughn and Felix. As well as, several surviving members of the Vandenberg family in Holland. We would like to thank the staff at the Michael Garron hospital in Toronto.
Paula devoted her life to selfless caring of her family. As a loving wife and mother, she enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking. She filled everything with the most important ingredient – her love. She had an amazing sense of humour and an infectious smile. Paula had a generous spirit and, she radiated fairness and compassion. Both her inner and outer beauty will continue to bring us warm and vivid memories. She was a sweet, kind and friendly person, who will be a perfect angel. May she rest in peace.
There will be a small gathering at my parent’s residences on Sunday, January 27, 2019, between 1-3pm at the Revera Living in Leaside at 10 William Morgan Drive, Toronto, ON M4H 1E7. If you are interested in being part of this celebration, please let us know by RSVPing here.
