Our memories of Pat from our family get-togethers are of a man who was very friendly, chatty and always seemed to be chuckling and able to see the funny side of life. He had an enquiring mind and a ceaseless desire and a willingness to try to find new hobbies/pastimes and to develop new skills. He was a wonderful husband, friend and soulmate to Sally and he will be greatly missed by her and indeed by all those who were closest to him.
The fact that Pat tried to carry on working and to still live life to the full, even when his recent poor health impacted hard upon him, says much about the calibre of man that he was. Adventurous, determined, loyal and resolute to the last. Goodbye from us Pat, it was a pleasure knowing you.
