I started Shotokan Karate in 1984 and Pat joined whilst I was there. He was a confident man with a very calm and kind soul. We trained together for a couple of years and after that we parted ways for many years meeting up only occasionally at various gyms from time to time. Our paths crossed again when I realised many years later that he knew a lot of my friends. Fond memories of a great bloke! RIP Pat.
