Oludaisi Abidakun

March 19, 1941 - November 15, 2021

A caring husband, loving father, grand father, peace seeker, tireless worker, sponsor of dreams, confidante to many and above all, a person whose mantra and typical greeting was Alafia - Peace. He will forever remain in our love. The memories we cherish and shared will stand as a guiding light in our broken but thankful hearts. The sky is brighter because Heaven celebrates the gain of a worthy soldier and ambassador. Rest on Daddy as you champion our aspirations and relationships...

Tribute to Brother I am doing this tribute with pain in my heart but with thanks to the Almighty God for His mercies over the times and life of late Pa John Oludaisi Abidakun who I fondly call brother He was a gentle, soft spoken, gentleman. A man of few words laced with wisdom. A man of prayer; his prayers were simple but his trust in God was deep. He was kind and full of love. He had a peaceful personality that cherishes peace and unity. A man of dignity and honor. He loved family, nuclear and extended, dearly. He desired peace and unity of these. He had a deep personality with lots of insights, yet humble in his interpersonal relationships. He was a keen listener and would rather make a "un hun" sound to express disagreement with your position. He corrects gently by repeating what you have said, and telling you he knows you did not mean it that way; that was his way of teaching and probably help him not to hold a grudge. We lost a Gem. May the heavens receive his soul and let light perpetual shine upon him. (AMEN) Alaaafia as he would say. Adieu!
